Buried in Treasures 15-Session Workshop
Buried in Treasures is a supportive, self-help workshop based on the book “Buried in Treasures: Help for Compulsive Acquiring, Saving and Hoarding.”
This workshop offers a program of skill-building, learning to think about possessions in a different way, and gradual challenges to help people manage their clutter and their lives.
Discover the reasons for your problems with acquiring, saving, and hoarding, and learn new ways of thinking about your possessions, so you can decide what you really need and what you can do without. Learn to identify the reasons behind your collecting or hoarding behavior and develop strategies and techniques to motivate you and put you on the path to change.
Over the course of 15 sessions, group members complete weekly readings & practical exercises, set personal goals, and attend meetings to discuss the new information and share their findings.
As you participate in this group alongside other like-minded individuals, you will gain greater awareness about how you relate to your possessions. You will learn that you are not alone in having a strong connection to your stuff. The understanding and insight you gain may be the inspiration you need to make changes in your life.
This is an active group for people who are ready to declutter, and committed to making a change in their lives.
